Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2, 2026
MoveFleet ("we", "us") operates a marketplace that connects customers who need moving services with independent moving companies, crews, and national logistics carriers. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using MoveFleet, you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
- Account information: name, email address, password (hashed), and the account type you request (customer, moving company, van lines, or U-Haul employee).
- Contact details: phone number and physical address when you book a move or apply for work.
- Identity & background documents: driver's license images, government ID images, drug-screen test results, and professional references submitted by applicants and employees.
- Job & operational data: pickup and drop-off addresses, move dates, job descriptions, job photos, notes, invoices, bids, time entries, and dispatch records.
- Payment information: subscription tier and invoice records. Payment processors (such as PayPal) receive payment data directly; we do not store full card numbers.
- Usage & device data: approximate usage analytics and standard device/network information collected by our hosting platform.
How We Use Your Information
- To create and administer your account and verify your identity.
- To match customers with moving companies, dispatch crews, and coordinate jobs.
- To review employment applications, verify licenses and drug screens, and manage crews.
- To generate invoices, track time and earnings, and administer loyalty rewards.
- To send transactional notifications about job status, assignments, and account approvals.
- To provide an AI navigation assistant that interprets your in-app requests to help you find pages.
How We Share Your Information
MoveFleet is a marketplace, so certain data is visible to other participants as needed to operate the service:
- Companies & crews: see job details, customer contact information, and assigned employee records relevant to jobs they accept or crews they manage.
- Customers: see the name and profile of the company that accepts their job.
- Administrators & U-Haul partners: may review applications, verification documents, and operational records for approval and compliance.
- Service providers: we use Google for sign-in and AI assistance, PayPal/Stripe for payment processing, and mapping providers for routing. Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy.
We do not sell your personal data.
Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time from the in-app Settings screen; deletion removes your company profile, jobs, invoices, bids, time entries, and related records, and signs you out. Some records may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business records.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on our hosting platform with access controls and row-level security that limits who can read or modify each record. Sensitive documents are uploaded to protected storage. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, but we work to protect your data using reasonable measures.
Your Rights
You may access, correct, or delete the personal data in your account through the app, or by contacting us. You can also request that we restrict or stop certain processing. If you are a California or EU/UK resident, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy law.
Children
MoveFleet is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data. The service is intended for adults entering into moving and labor arrangements.
Contact
Questions about this policy or your data can be sent through the Contact page or by mail to our headquarters in Quitman, Mississippi, USA.
